NSCHC Receives Opportunity Fund Grant

On November 19, North Side Christian Health Center (NSCHC) was awarded a generous $15,000 grant from the Opportunity Fund. This funding will provide flexible support for general operations and help advance the work of NSCHC's board-directed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, NSCHC offers comprehensive primary health care to underserved individuals in Northside and neighboring communities. NSCHC is committed to creating a community where people from all backgrounds are actively engaged in promoting and maintaining healthy lifestyles.

Since its founding in 2015, the Opportunity Fund has awarded 1,196 grants totaling nearly $17.5 million. The foundation’s mission is to foster reciprocal relationships with its partners and the broader community. As part of this mission, the Opportunity Fund provides unrestricted general operating support, allowing organizations to use the funds in ways that best align with their goals. In this grant cycle, 43% of the recipients are Black-led organizations, 29% are white-led, and 19% are led by Asian, Latino/a/e, or multiracial leadership teams.
