$3K Raised at Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community

On Saturday, May 13, Team NSCHC participated in The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. Our team of 38 walked either a 5K route or a one-mile route, raising more than $3,000 for North Side Christian Health Center.

But the walk isn't over! You can still make a donation to Team NSCHC until June 30 by clicking here.

The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraiser, part of the Highmark Bright Blue Futures charitable giving and community involvement program that focuses on improving equitable access to care, quality of life, and economic resilience in the communities served by Highmark.

The primary goal of the walk is to help participating organizations, such as North Side Christian Health Center, raise money for their individual missions. One hundred percent of the funds raised through this event go directly back to the participating organizations.

"We are proud to see this signature event grow year after year as community members continue to join us in supporting local organizations that are doing meaningful work to make our communities stronger," said Highmark Health Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Dan Onorato. "The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an essential part of our Highmark Bright Blue Futures program, as it provides nonprofits with a unique fundraising opportunity to build capacity for their mission, expand limited resources, and extend their impactful work throughout the various communities we serve."
