We’re excited to share that Aaryn Hunt, Miss Pennsylvania for America Strong 2024, will be the keynote speaker at the North Side Christian Health Center Annual Fundraising Gala on Friday, October 18.

A 26-year old native of Pittsburgh and a lifetime patient at North Side Christian Health Center, Aaryn is also a mental health advocate. Recently her whole health journey has led her to NSCHC behavioral health services and she proudly claims to be a “mental health warrior”. Aaryn has made it her personal mission to break down the stigma that surrounds the topic of mental health and is vocal about her past and present struggles.

Aaryn values being active in her community and seeks out mental health related volunteering opportunities and events. Most recently she has enjoyed spending time at Elliott Acres, a therapeutic horseback riding facility in Butler where individuals of all ages with mental or physical disabilities are able to engage in healing interactions with horses. Aaryn believes that therapy and healing can happen outside of a clinical setting and sees the power of meeting people where they are to be receptive to mental health treatment.

Aaryn looks forward to the rest of her reign as Miss Pennsylvania for America Strong 2024 and is excited for the doors that will continue to open for her as she walks in her purpose.
