Elevator Project Complete Thanks to Funding

Councilman Bobby Wilson and Bethany Blackburn, NSCHC CEO

District 1 Councilman Bobby Wilson joined Bethany Blackburn, CEO of NSCHC, for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the newly updated elevator at the NSCHC Middle Street office complex. The elevator, which had been under construction since July, received a significant modernization to enhance accessibility.

This important project was vital for ensuring that medical, dental, and behavioral health services could be offered across all five floors of the building. The elevator is essential to patients with mobility issues to access care, but thanks to a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Pittsburgh and generous support from the Buhl Foundation, the elevator is now operational, restoring access for everyone.

No More Stairs cookies! 😊

To celebrate, the NSCHC staff enjoyed No-More-Stairs cookies—much appreciated after six weeks without a functioning elevator!
