Rep. Lamb Receives NACHC Award

Bethany Blackburn, CEO of North Side Christian Health Center, presented Representative Conor Lamb with an award on behalf of The National Association of Community Health Centers.

Rep. Lamb was recognized for his advocacy in 2022 in support of community health centers, many of which are also Federally Qualified Health Centers. These efforts help to preserve necessary funding streams, protect the 340B Drug Pricing Program, and to recognize the important role of community health centers in caring for vulnerable communities.

Across the country, 1 in 11 Americans – including 400,000 veterans and 8.7 million children – rely on community health centers such as North Side Christian Health Center for their health care. Community health centers have been successful in expanding access to affordable and quality health care nationwide.

The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) was founded in 1971 to promote efficient, high quality, comprehensive health care that is accessible, culturally and linguistically competent, community directed, and patient centered for all.

At a Federally Qualified Health Center all patients can seek healthcare regardless of ability to pay and insurance status. In 2021, FQHCs cared for 30 million people.

Conor Lamb has served as the U.S. representative for Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district since 2019.
